Event Pulse is designed to allow organizations, event personnel and individuals to send electronic notifications to users / friends about their organization, events they are holding or an event they are about to do or is happening at that time.
There are two types of events that can be setup: private or public:
PRIVATE EVENT - A private event is used by an organization, event organization or individual when they have a distinct set of users that they want to restrict to see the pulses sent by the announcer(s) who are assigned to that event. Examples of private events would be businesses wanting to send notifications to their clients on important business announcements, or people taking vacations and wanting to update family / friends on where they are visiting. In these event types the announcer would simply send out invites by email to selected individuals who then accept the invite and they would then see the announcements as they are released.
PUBLIC EVENT - A public event is created by an organization / event coordinator. and is accessible to anyone who wants to subscribe to that event by name / event ID. The organization / event coordinator can invite users to join through group emails OR people may subscribe via the Event Pulse application.
There are two main applications in Event Pulse:
ANNOUNCER APP - This application allows company management or an event organization to create events (Public or Private) and send notification to users who are authorized to see these notifications, by sending personal invites by email for private events or any user who subscribes to a Public event. Once an announcer sets up the organization and event they can then input notifications -- text or picture attachments -- to the users which are automatically sent to their users. The announcer can also include in any pulse geolocation marker to show the users where this pulse was sent from.
USER APP – This application allows a person to register for a private event using a token (sent to them by an announcer) or subscribe to a public event and automatically receive these notifications on their mobile devices. Once registered to an event, the user can see all notifications live on their mobile device and view the full information on their mobile device including any attachments. If the announcer included geolocation information in the notification, the user can click on the Location link and open apple / google maps on their mobile device to view where the pulse was sent from.
Select an Event to see an live list of pulses for several Public events.
Pricing is based on three criteria:
1. the type of event (Private or Public)
2. how many users they want to participate in the event, eg. how many subscribers!
3. Duration of the event
